Lunchtime Gallery Talk
Assistant Curator Adrienne Gennett will tour the exhibition of Asian arts and discuss the new permanent exhibition space with the Periodical Room at the Parks Library, which is home to the David G. Topel and Jay-Lin Jane-Topel and Cheng Art Collection with the inaugural exhibition of their collection of Chinese jades, hardstones, and scrolls.
Meeting: Faculty Senate
The Faculty Senate represents the general faculty of Iowa State University and participates in shared governance of the University with the administration. Senate meetings are open to the public.
ROTC: Tri-Service Change of Command Ceremony
All three of Iowa State's ROTC services will participate in this combined ceremony, a military tradition that represents a formal transfer of responsibility for a unit from one officer to another. The university community is invited.

George Washington Carver Life and Legacy Symposium
Most historians believe Carver was born in 1864, making this year the 150th since his birth. The daylong symposium will celebrate Carver's legacy and discuss how to recruit and retain students who can build on it.
