Grab your friends and join Shiara for an evening dedicated to exploring three of the major types of music found in Middle Eastern Dance and some of the basic dance movements used to complement each style.
Intermediate Belly Dance Workshop: The Art of Taqsim
The Taqsim is a part of Middle Eastern music where a solo instrument is featured. It is typically an improvisational expression for both the musician and the dancer which many find intimidating. In this class, we'll create a formula to help you relax, enjoy and shine during your next Taqsim!

Youth Program: Plant Pals
Join us and cultivate a real garden at Reiman Gardens. We will learn about and grow lots of vegetables, pumpkins, tomatoes and sunflowers, as well as beautiful flowers. Each session has hands-on activities to interact with all the wonderful plants that we enjoy and eat. Classes are great for kids of all ages to participate in with an adult.

Graduates of the TBL Teaching and Learning Circles are invited to participate in the TBL Faculty/Graduate Student/Postdoctoral Fellow Learning Community. We work as teams to optimize application exercises, readiness assurance tests, peer evaluation, and other aspects of course design, and also invite speakers to facilitate discussions of TBL theory, research and classroom application.
