"Little Dresses for Africa" Work Weekend
Simple dresses made out of pillowcases provide relief and hope for the children of Africa. We will provide the supplies, but can use the hands of volunteers to assist with making the dresses. From cutting fabric and ironing to sewing, there is a place for anyone who has an hour or two to spare.

This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. Ames Community Celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Celebrate with song, story and birthday cake. An Ames tradition! After sharing birthday cake, the program begins at 6:30 pm.

Ribbon cutting and open house: Student Loan Education Office
Join President Steven Leath, director of student financial aid Roberta Johnson and the staff of the Student Loan Education Office for a short program at 10 a.m.
Youth Program Training
The risk management office, the conference planning and management office, and ISU Extension and Outreach are hosting training for youth program leaders, administrators and student organization officers. The training will cover the policies, procedures and forms necessary to conduct youth programs at Iowa State. Preregistration is required. To register, email orm@iastate.edu by Jan. 18.
Wheel Pottery Class
Students will be guided through all aspects of forming bowls, mugs, vases and more on the pottery wheel. Learn handle-pulling, glazing and finishing techniques. Open to absolute beginners as well as those with experience who would like to improve their technique and abilities.
