Instructor: Kaukab Barni Merchant Mosaics are made of tiny colored pieces of stone, pottery, glass or other materials, arranged together and set in plaster or cement. They can be used to decorate a floor, a wall or a ceiling, but in this workshop we will explore this method using cut or torn paper to create a layered picture inspired by nature, one piece at a time.

Des Moines, IA-based Parlours hasn't been around long, but the talented five-piece band has already created a ton of buzz in the Midwest region with their self-titled EP. Their song I Dream of Chicago closed the series finale for FOX show The Chicago Code and more recently, the group had two songs featured on ABC Family's The Lying Game as well as a song in the indie film Sassy Pants.
