Haiku in the Gardens

Join local published poet, Dennis Maulsby, for a course in four weekly sessions examining the history, nature, and variations of haiku poetry. Learn to write and appreciate this beautiful poetic art within the endlessly inspiring landscape of the outdoor gardens. No poetry or writing background required-perfect for beginners and those wishing to improve their grasp of the form. Participants will take home a workbook of handouts and reference mateCost: Pre-registration with pre-payment by Monday, April 30, 2012 is required. Cost: $24 for CoHorts members. $30 for the general public. $18 for ISU students.
Symposium: Sustaining Health in a Changing Environment

Hosted by ISU's Nutrition and Wellness Research Center, the symposium will look at sustainability of health in a world facing climate change, population explosion and dminishing resources.
