Mary Jones, professor of art and design at Grandview University, Des Moines, is a mixed-media artist, illustrator and printmaker who explores the creative potential of physically engaging with one's environment. She will discuss how walking well-trodden paths is like remembering in layers, and how this process of remembering is similar to the layers in her prints.
"Nutrition and Exercise for Optimal Health" - Miriam Nelson, author of the bestselling book "Strong Women Stay Young," will discuss what foods you should eat to stay young and healthy as well as what types and how much exercise improves health.
