Diversifying your syllabus involves more than simply including diverse and Indigenous scholars and/or topics in your course materials. Rather, it recognizes that there are diverse perspectives of what constitutes reality and what constitutes knowledge within a discipline or in course content. Additionally, diversification recognizes that multiple realities exist and that knowledge should be owned and created by everyone.
How do students learn best in your discipline? Where can you publish the way you solved instructional problems? You are invited to share and discuss DBER journal articles, seek feedback as you begin designing your own educational research projects, and form collaborations with participants from other disciplines.

CELT's Choose Your Instructional Tool Adventure focuses on various instructional strategies found on the CELT website and demonstrates practical ways to incorporate these tools in a Canvas course. Instructional support staff from across campus will facilitate each 30-minute byte. These 30-minutes builds on concepts covered in the Canvas Mini-Bytes training videos on the CELT instructional strategies pages.
This 50-minute online webinar will offer practical tips for using Canvas Gradebook for efficient grading. Upon completion, you will be able to calculate grades, use gradebook filtering and sorting functions and optimize the Speegrader for your teaching needs. The webinar will incorporate a 20-minute Q and A block, in order to address participants' questions specific to using Canvas Gradebook.

In this hands-on training you will learn how to strategically use websites and proprietary databases to identify and connect with funding opportunities and to set up saved searches, shared opportunities, and receive funding alert emails.
In this interactive workshop, Morrill Professor Charles Jahren (Civil, Construction & Environmental Engineering) will guide you through how he integrates instructional designers, graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants, and industry partners with little teaching experience into his Construction Engineering courses.

Despite widespread efforts to increase access to and inclusion in STEM, minoritized students remain excluded from both STEM majors and STEM professions. The reasons for this are complex, but instructors can play an active role in disrupting these inequities.
=Whether conscious of it or not, instructors and students bring most of who they are to the learning environment, including their biases and stereotypes. Biases can emerge in the form of (micro)aggressions during class discussions, in student-student interactions during group or lab work, or interactions between students and instructors.
