Walk-in Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for better dancing. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie Williams, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Walk-in Craft: Women's March Sign Making Day
Get ready for the Women's March in Des Moines on January 20. Sign-making supplies will be available, as well as large tables to work around. Our playlist will include some Beyonce, Nina Simone and Gloria Gaynor for inspiration. Pick up one of our feminist buttons, or make your own for 50 cents. There is no charge for sign-making and this is open to all ages if accompanied by an adult. Together we rise!
Reception: Women Impacting ISU Calendar
The 12 women featured in the calendar will be recognized. A program will begin at 4 p.m. Free copies of the calendar will be distributed.

Celebrate with song, story and birthday cake. An Ames tradition! Join us at 6:00 for cake and music, followed by an hour-long program beginning at 6:30pm.

Movie: BlacKkKlansman
BlacKkKlansman, directed by Spike Lee and produced by Jordan Peele - Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) becomes the first black detective on the Colorado Springs Police Department. He sets out to prove his worth by infiltrating the local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan and convinces his Jewish colleague (Adam Driver) to go undercover as a white supremacist.

Join us for Iowa State's university-wide celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This year's program features keynote speaker Ron Stallworth, whose extraordinary story of being a black detective who infiltrates the Ku Klux Klan is the subject of Spike Lee's recent movie BlacKkKlansman.
