Recognition breakfast: LC peer mentors
The Learning Communities program will serve a come-and-go breakfast for the hundreds of peer mentors who make Iowa State's program a leader in higher education.

Carl Rogers is a finalist for the position of chair of the ISU Department of Landscape Architecture. He currently is an associate professor of landscape architecture and interim chair of the department. He will give a public presentation followed by a question-and-answer period.

Getting Started with Arduino, Raspberry Pi and Makey Makey
This workshop introduces the basics, pros, and cons of Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and Makey Makey, three microcontrollers which allow interactions between computers and the physical world. The VRAC Experience public tour offers participants a chance to learn about the unique research facilities at VRAC and HCI and how we use them as research tools. The presentation also explains how 3D virtual reality (VR) works and how graphics technology has evolved over the past decade. 3rd annual Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Symposium
The symposium features speakers, a poster session highlighting graduate and undergraduate student research, and a complimentary breakfast, lunch and coffee break. There will be time for the speakers to interact with students. In addition to sharing their research, speakers are invited to discuss their journey and offer advice to students who would like to pursue a career in academia.
