2011 Symposium on Enhancing Sustainability at Iowa State University
The morning session includes the keynote address, reports on sustainability achievements on campus and summaries of three Feb. 21 visioning discussions, and concludes with an awards luncheon.
Sustainability symposium keynote address
"The New Color of Green: A Collective Voice Towards Change," Jerome Ringo. Jerome Ringo worked for more than twenty years in the petrochemical industry before turning to a career in conservation and environmental justice. Ringo is senior executive for global strategies with Green Port. University Symposium on Sustainability Keynote Address.
Gamma "Panther Chow" fund-raiser
Support the ISU Gammas by purchasing a snack bag of "Panther Chow" cereal treats for $1. Funds are being used to send members to the national sisterhood retreat. ISU's Gamma Chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. is a multicultural group which works to empower women through academics, community service, cultural awareness morals and ethics, and social interaction.

Come to the Farm House Museum to enjoy tea and conversation about all things Farm House. Mark your calendar from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm Tuesdays this month and enjoy the 150 year old structure in a whole new way. Check the University Museums website to learn what the discussion topic will be. Art and Computer Science
"Time and the 3rd Dimension - Art and Computer Science," Anson Call, ISU art and design. Call combines computers and art in his 3-D works of art seen in the "Relationships: Drawn, Analog to Digital" exhibition. He will discuss his art and will be joined by Chris Johnson, ISU computer science, who will help the audience understand the history and development of computer-generated images.

Winter Escapes Art Short Course
Join Jo Myers-Walker of the Left Bank Studio in Gilbert, Iowa, as she teaches a series of nine classes on watercolors and her trademark slumping plastic that will surely help you beat the winter blues.
