During this event, researchers and scholars are encouraged to give lighting talks about their research focal areas, present a poster showcasing their research interests and project results, network with other researchers, discover campus research services, and listen to stories of real-life research and scholarship experiences. If you are involved with research or scholarly work at Iowa State, this event is for you.

POSTPONED: Strategic facilities plan town hall
Facilities planning and management is developing a strategic plan for future investment in design improvements or renewal of ISU campus facilities. A team from Ayers Saint Gross will summarize findings from initial planning analysis, campus observations and survey/open house input.
CANCELED: Marketing Your Study Abroad workshop
Reflect on the professional benefits of studying abroad. We will discuss how to format international experience on a resume and how to incorporate study abroad into behavioral based interview questions. This workshop is applicable to those that have participated in a faculty-led travel course or a semester-long/exchange program (or any student interested in studying abroad). Snacks will be provided.

Kimberly Garza is the founder and principal of Atlas Lab, a landscape architecture, urban design and public art studio based in Sacramento, California. She will discuss the role of tactical urbanism and urban prototyping in engaging communities, creating authentic experiences and empowering designers to improve the built environment using low-cost, small-scale strategies. Part of the ASLA Iowa Spring Conference.

This event has been canceled due to the COVID-19 situation. Dr. Tucker is a senior biospheric scientist, employed by NASA. He has used satellite data for deforestation mapping, predicting ecologically coupled disease outbreaks, mapping glacier extent, and mapping climatic effects on global vegetation.
