Cyclone Family Weekend
Cyclone Family Weekend (Sept. 13-15) is an annual campuswide event run by student leaders filled with opportunities for families to spend time with their students, learn about Iowa State, and see our beautiful campus. Each year, the activities and opportunities change, but often include performances, tours of campus facilities, meals, and fun activities. Most events are free, but some will require the purchase of tickets. Register online.
Argentine Tango Drop-In Lessons
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. Classes meet every Sunday and drop-ins are welcome. Purchase a dance punch card and attend as often as your schedule allows. Open to ages 18+.

Drop in Craft: Vinyl Record Painting
September 3-30: Browse through our crate of old vinyl and use paint or special markers to turn a record into a piece of wall art. Write out song lyrics, create a mandala, make it abstract - the possibilities are endless!
Paint Your Own Pottery: Plant Lover's Week
September 16-21: Our pots are both charming and functional vessels for your indoor plants. From little pots for baby succulents to larger ones for more established plants, find a fun way to show off your greens.
School's Out Kids' Crafts: Geometric Paintings
Fun crafts for kids 15 and under on a day off school! Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cyclone Cinema: Challengers
Cyclone Cinema is presented by the Student Union Board and showcases a variety of film genres, screening a different movie every weekend Thursday - Sunday during the semester. Sunday film screenings are in open caption format. All other screenings can be open caption as well, as long as the request is made to the staff prior to the movie starting.
Concert: The Two Tracks
The Two Tracks draw inspiration from the rural surroundings of their home in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming. Their live show features an array of sounds from introspective ballads to foot-stomping anthems that reflect their earthy authenticity and a genuine love for the craft.
