Come to the Farm House Museum to enjoy tea and conversation. Lecture: The future of American agriculture
"The Future of American Agriculture," Kathleen Merrigan, deputy secretary of agriculture. As a staffer on the Senate Committee on Agriculture, she helped shape the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990, which created national standards for organic foods and a federal program to accredit them. She also served as administrator of the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service, which oversees the agency's organic program.

Her expertise is in business strategy, and she has expanded on these theories to develop a framework for helping people determine their unique life strategy.
