Information session: Institutional Review Board
The Office for Responsible Research is sponsoring an informational session about the Institutional Review Board (IRB). Kerry Agnitsch, IRB co-chair, will present an overview of the process for obtaining approval to conduct research involving human subjects, especially IRB's approval criteria and the importance of the informed consent process. Your camera works fine as a "point and shoot" but do you want to take even better pictures? Learn how in this class as you look at photo basics with the digital camera in mind. Meets Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm for 2 weeks.
Panel Discussion: Flooding in Ames
"Flooding in Ames: The Problems and Prospects." A panel of ISU faculty will discuss factors contributing to flooding in Ames as well as ways to reduce the impact of such events. Panelists include Bill Gutowski, Kristie Franz, Bill Simpkins and Stephen Jones. Their comments will be followed by questions from selected faculty and university and community representatives. The panel will then take take questions from the audience.
