Seminar: Digital Textbooks
"Digital Textbooks: A Perfect Storm for Higher Learning." An overview of major local, state, regional and national initiatives by institutions of higher learning as well as by primary and secondary schools in the U.S. and elsewhere. This seminar will profile select e-textbook platforms and features and the associated costs and benefits of digital textbook use. Preregistration is required on Access Plus (under Employee HRS Course Listings).
VEISHEA Opening Ceremony and Awards
The annual VEISHEA celebration is one of Iowa State's oldest traditions, showcasing the university community with a variety of educational and entertainment events. This year's speaker will be Cyclone men's basketball coach Fred Hoiberg. Vice President for Student Affairs Tom Hill will present the awards.
