Iowa Museum Week June 11-17
On June 7th Iowa Governor Terry Branstad will proclaim June 11-17, 2012 as Iowa Museum Week. During this week, Iowa's museums, including ISU's University Museums, will raise awareness of their programs and celebrate what makes them unique community assets. Iowa's ninety-nine counties are home to hundreds of museums as well as to major regional collections.
Kids Story Time
Each session features a theme with two or three books read aloud followed by a related craft or activity. The books, crafts and activities are intended for children ages two to seven years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Open house: Smithsonian Folklife Festival exhibit
Get a sneak peek of Iowa State's Smithsonian Folklife Festival exhibit, "Transforming Communities: Design in Action." The exhibit will be on display in the National Mall June 27-July 1 and July 4-8.
