Paul Maier is professor emeritus in the Department of History at Western Michigan University, where he was the Russell H. Seibert Professor of Ancient History. He is the author of sixteen published books, including The Da Vinci Code: Fact or Fiction? and the religious fiction bestseller A Skeleton in God's Closet.
