They will explore traditional ceramic techniques developed over thousands of years and how those techniques continue to be used by and inspire contemporary ceramicists working today.

Soap Making - Hot Process Class

Learn soap making from scratch, using a hot-process crock pot method. With this method the "cure time" is greatly reduced. The ability to use finicky fragrances that normally can't be used with a traditional Cold Process method is the trademark of this technique. Lye safety will be emphasized. A messy but fun process so wear old clothing with a long-sleeved shirt. Leave class with about 1.5 pounds of soap.
