Reception: Library dean Olivia Madison
A program will begin at 2:30 p.m. On Sept. 1, Olivia Madison will leave her position as dean and join the provost's office as a special assistant to the provost to help prepare for Iowa State's accreditation review by the Higher Learning Commission.

Retirement reception: Dayle Nickerson
Join the College of Human Sciences in sending off Dayle Nickerson with a retirement celebration. Nickerson, the director of student services, provided 25 years of dedicated service to the college.
Dedication: Jeff and Deb Hansen Agriculture Student Learning Center
The new facility, unique to Iowa State and nearly all of the Midwest, allows for animal-human interaction through teaching laboratories, outreach activities, and a variety of functions for current and future students.
Book Release Party: "Prairie Gold: An Anthology of the American Heartland"
The College of Design is hosting a book release party for "Prairie Gold: An Anthology of the American Heartland." Copies of the book will be available for purchase, and light snacks and nonalcoholic beverages will be provided.

Cyclone Central Tailgate
Fun for the whole family, regardless of the weather. Each tailgate features games, prizes, football action on the big screens, a marching band performance, a cash bar (Olde Main Brewing Company), and an optional catered meal by area vendors (preregistration required).
