Join University Museums Interpretation Specialist David Faux in celebrating the legacy of Jack Trice. As the beloved stadium is ushered into an exciting time of growth let us come together to celebrate the art that inhabits the only Division 1 football stadium named in honor of an African American. Meet David at the Jack Trice sculpture outside of gate 1.
Stop by The Workspace and make a painted stone mandala using simple geometric forms. Keep it as a talisman for yourself or give it to someone as a small but special gift.
Share your artwork in a comfortable atmosphere. Our guest will be Aaron Tinder, whose mixed media paintings and photography are on display in the Pioneer Room. Bring up to 3 pieces of work in any media and get feedback and ideas from Tinder as well as other participants.
Steve Poltz fronted the semi-legendary indie-rock band The Rugburns and is responsible for a critically lauded and impressively large body of work on his own, most recently the soundtrack for the acclaimed Sundance-screened documentary film, Running Wild - The Life of Dayton O. Hyde. He is quite possibly the most talented, and engaging, solo performer on this planet. That's what 250+ shows a year on three continents will do for you.
