Leo Timms, award-winning Dairy Science and Morrill professor, shares how he uses context and application to relate to diverse learners both in his ISU classroom and in his experiences as an extension teacher. See how Leo's techniques for making science simple, understandable, and economical (where appropriate) connect with not only ISU's student population, but also farmers, grocers, and elementary children.
Safe Zone 101 Training is a 3-hour training program that uses interactive scenarios to prepare trainees in creating Safe Zones on campus. Faculty, staff and graduate assistants are welcome and encouraged to register. Part of Coming Out Week.
Uschi Niethammer, program officer for the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), will make a presentation about this German government- and EU-funded agency and explain its culture, the wide variety of RFPs, review process and suggestions on how to submit a successful grant proposal to DAAD.
