As an international spoken word artist and award-winning poet, her poetry has taken her to places such as South Africa, Cuba, Brazil, Switzerland and all over the United States. Her poetry ranges from topics as serious as the social injustices we all face to talking about her underwear.

"Medical Apartheid," Harriet Washington, a medical ethicist and author of the best-selling book Medical Apartheid: The Dark History of Medical Experimentation on Black Americans from Colonial Times to the Present. She has been a fellow in ethics at the Harvard Medical School, a fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health, and a senior research scholar at the National Center for Bioethics at Tuskegee University.

The career fair enables students to explore career opportunities, obtain employer information, and locate internships, co-ops and full-time positions. Employers have the opportunity to connect with promising candidates for job and internship openings as well as network with university personnel and other employers.
The career fair offers employers and students a professional environment in which to connect and discuss internships and full-time employment opportunities in human/social services; education; health/wellness; government; and hospitality. There also will be an opportunity for students to meet with representatives from professional health and law schools.
