Exhibit: Send Silence Packing

9:00 am - 4:00 pm @ Parks Library lawnSend Silence Packing is a nationally recognized traveling exhibition of donated backpacks representing college students lost to suicide each year. The program is designed to raise awareness about the incidence and impact of suicide, connect students to needed mental health resources, and inspire action for suicide prevention.

Faculty using Open Educational Resources (OER) in their courses share the benefits and challenges of making the switch to OER and students share their opinion on how OER could affect their learning. Participants will leave the workshop with plans for incorporating OER into their courses and a pathway to making their classes more affordable.

Interested participants do not need to meet any formal requirements (but must be 21 years old) to participate except an open mind, an inquisitive nose and a willing palate. Register by Oct. 17.
