He was the Republican chief economist for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and the lead Republican economist on the four SEC-related titles of the Dodd-Frank Act and the JOBS Act. The Forward Theatre Company of Madison Wisconsin first performed this series of monologues written mostly by those in the area on the subject of banned books from various points of view. Banned books included range from "James and the Giant Peach" to "Lady Chatterley's Lover". Permission has been given for ISU students to include their monologues on the subject as well. This production opens on the Friday of National Banned Books Week.
