Orientation: Key Travel
One of ISU's new contracted travel agency partners, Key Travel, will host an orientation session six times April 23-25. The session includes a demo of Key Travel's online booking tool. No registration is required. It will be repeated at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. today.

"Human Research Basics: Best Practices for a Successful IRB Submission." This four-part series looks more closely at the various components of the IRB submission process. In this session, you'll get tips for ensuring a smooth IRB review process.
Research Workshop: Submission software training
The Office for Responsible Research will transition to a new electronic system for submission, review, and maintenance of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) applications. The a-tune tick@lab system will go live in early 2018, integrating research, teaching and testing protocols, animal procurement and management, as well as veterinary medical records.
Open forum: CELT director finalist
Sara Marcketti, professor in the apparel, events and hospitality management department, and interim director of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching, is a finalist for the director's post.
Lecture: Ethical Considerations
Brian Green, Santa Clara University, will speak about the potential ethical implications of emerging and disruptive food technologies. He'll share what needs to be considered so people may use these technologies in ways that encourage the development of a healthy, fair and sustainable food system for the future.
