St. Louis Area Methods Meeting

Four scholars will discuss their work on campaigns, human rights, local government and networks in Congress. Preregistration (free) is required. 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm @ Serenity Couture, North Grand MallHosted by students in AESHM 222, Creative Thinking and Problem Solving, to bring awareness to environmental issues hurting the planet. Students have created garments from recycled materials such as newspaper, plastic bottles, school supplies, fast food packaging and even parking tickets. The event also includes a silent auction, music, giveaways, drinks and refreshments.

ISU Symphonic Band

7:30 pm - 8:30 pm @ Martha-Ellen Tye Recital Hall, Music HallThe Symphonic Band is an 80-member ensemble that explores traditional as well as contemporary works by composers such as Percy Grainger, Malcolm Arnold, Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Leonard Bernstein. The Symphonic Band is conducted by Steven Smyth, Associate Director of Bands.

This masterpiece of American theatre takes place in a small New England town at the turn of the last century. Through its themes lies the understanding that we are all connected no matter when we have lived and that we know in our hearts that something is eternal and it isn't the objects we own.
