Paint Your Own Pottery: Hello Spring!

Decorate a pot for growing herbs, a vase for fresh-cut flowers, or embrace the season with bunnies and chicks.

This 9th annual competition is a collaboration between the Bioeconomy Institute and the College of Design's integrated studio arts program. Award winners will be announced at 4:30 p.m.

'Trashion' Show

Channel: Apparel, Events and Hospitality Management

6:30 pm - 9:00 pm @ Serenity Couture, North Grand Mall

Hosted by students in AESHM 222, Creative Thinking and Problem Solving, to bring awareness to environmental issues hurting the planet. Students have created garments from recycled materials such as newspaper, plastic bottles, school supplies, fast food packaging and even parking tickets. The event also includes a silent auction, music, giveaways, drinks and refreshments.

Cost: $10 ($50 VIP)

ISU Symphonic Band

7:30 pm - 8:30 pm @ Martha-Ellen Tye Recital Hall, Music Hall

The Symphonic Band is an 80-member ensemble that explores traditional as well as contemporary works by composers such as Percy Grainger, Malcolm Arnold, Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Leonard Bernstein. The Symphonic Band is conducted by Steven Smyth, Associate Director of Bands.

Cost: $5.00 adults & students Tickets available day of concert.

Ordinary life has great joys that very few people fully appreciate. There are also the transcendent moments surrounding love and death that come to all. This masterpiece of American theatre takes place in a small New England town at the turn of the last century. Through its themes lies the understanding that we are all connected no matter when we have lived and that we know in our hearts that something is eternal and it isn't the objects we own.

The Lonely Biscuits are an alternative rock band hailing from Nashville, TN. The band is comprised of Grady Wenrich, Sam Gidley, and Nick Byrd.
