A program begins at 4 p.m. to introduce the women selected for the Catt Center's 2022 "Women Impacting ISU" calendar. 2021 calendar honorees also will be recognized at this event (the pandemic canceled last year's reception).

Lecture: Living on Purpose in the Pursuit of Racial Justice
"Better, Not Bitter: Living on Purpose in the Pursuit of Racial Justice," Yusef Salaam was one of the Central Park Five tried and convicted for the crime of raping a white woman in New York City in 1989. In 2002, his conviction was vacated. He has committed himself to advocating and educating people on the issues of false confessions, police brutality, press ethics and bias, and the disparities in America's criminal justice system.
