Out of the Darkness campus walk, supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) education and support programs and its bold goal to reduce the annual U.S. rate of suicide 20 percent by the year 2025. Hosted by Iowa State University Student Counseling Services. Register online or in person; walk begins at 10 a.m., south of the campanile.

Venezuelan violinist Samuel Vargas, winner of the 2021 Sphinx National Competition for Black and Latino talent, will perform Florence Price's Concerto No. 2 for violin and orchestra in a concert that includes Baba Yetu, a setting of the Lordââ'¬â"¢s Prayer in Swahili and the first piece of music written for a video game to win a Grammy Award.
