Nilesh Oak holds BS and MS in Chemical Engineering and Executive MBA. He has written 3 books, 500+ blog articles, and 1000+ lectures on Indian civilization. His original research includes the dating of ancient historical events and the exploration of ancient sciences and technologies in the areas of astronomy, agriculture, domestication of animals, navigation, philosophy, and medical sciences.
Cyclone Cinema is presented by the Student Union Board and showcases a variety of film genres, screening a different movie every weekend Thursday - Sunday during the semester. Sunday film screenings are in open caption format. All other screenings can be open caption as well, as long as the request is made to the staff prior to the movie starting.
Yam Haus is a band from Minneapolis, MN. They have built a devoted grass roots following in the Midwest and across the US, sold out the iconic 1,500 capacity First Avenue venue in Minneapolis, and have gotten their music added to regular rotation on the Twin Cities iHeart station Cities 97.1 as an independent band. They have a new body of songs made in Nashville with producer Mark Needham that they hope to soon share with the world.
