ISU Theatre: Student Fringe Festival
Join us at venues around campus and Ames as Iowa State students flex their theatrical muscles during ISU Theatre's first Fringe Festival. Enjoy music performances, a fashion show, original musicals and plays, a short horror film, stand-up comedy, and more! Advisory: Contains adult language and content.
Stash The Trash
Stash the Trash is a volunteer effort that brings students and community members together to help clean up the Ames community. The event is supported by the City of Ames, Iowa State University and Iowa Home Consulting. Volunteers can choose to work alone, with a group of people, or with an organization - and clean-up their neighborhood or favorite outdoor area.
Suicide Awareness Walk
Iowa State's Out of the Darkness campus walk, supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) education and support programs. Hosted by ISU Student Counseling Services. Register online or in person; walk begins at 10 a.m., south of the campanile.
ISU Book Store: Story time
There will be stories, free kid's activities, coloring pages and an opportunity to take photos with both Gerald the Elephant and Piggie. Special deals on kids and general books for Independent Bookstore Day.
Paws to Cure Cancer 5K
Check in near the campanile at noon, the race begins at 12:30 p.m. Canine companions (with rabies certificate) are encouraged. Participants receive a T-shirt and lunch will be provided. After the race, there will be opportunities for all participants to win prizes, including movie tickets, plants, pet care items, gift cards, and more.

SUB Drag Show (Matinee)
Joins us for the annual Drag Show with The Pride Alliance with a performance from DUBH! The matinee will start at 2:00 pm with doors opening at 1:30 pm in The Maintenance Shop.
Cyclone Cinema: Cocaine Bear
Cyclone Cinema is presented by the Student Union Board and showcases a variety of film genres, screening a different movie every weekend Thursday - Sunday during the semester. Sunday film screenings are in open caption format. All other screenings can be open caption as well, as long as the request is made to the staff prior to the movie starting.

Heralds: A Symphony of Women's Voices Auguring Change
In a first for the ISU Symphony Orchestra, the concert will feature music exclusively by women composers, including Stella Sung, Stephanie Ann Boyd, Milica Paranosic, Shulamit Ran, Joan Tower, and a world premiere by Christine Donkin. The ISU Symphony will be joined by an intergenerational treble choir composed of women from ISU and the Ames High School choral program, Lara St. John, soprano Amanda Kosi, and cellist Julie Sturm.
