Open to all majors and other job seekers. Focus areas include: Communication, Education, Events, Government, Health, Wellness or Food, Hospitality, Human Resources, Nonprofit, Social Services, Professional Schools in Health and Law.
Paint Your Own Pottery: Gnome Week
An enchanting cast of characters awaits you! Meet Norm, Norma, Nate, Nora, Elwood, Jake, and the ever-popular foot-tall Ginormagnome. Start (or keep building) your gnome village with cute little mushrooms, a small planter, or a fairy house.
Afternoon Teapots Class w/ Valerie Williams
Handbuilding pottery doesn't just mean pinch pots! Learn to use our slab roller to create sheets of clay that can be assembled, manipulated, and built into functional ware. This class will start with making mugs and end with constructing a teapot, and during each session participants can enjoy a cup of afternoon tea, on the house.
CALS Study Abroad Fair
Students can gain valuable information about domestic and international travel opportunities through the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Students can talk with program coordinators, study abroad representatives, and past program attendees.
Woodshop Orientation w/ John Burright
Learn the fundamentals of our woodworking equipment and which tool to choose for the job at hand. Practice using the machinery while making a key rack and shelf you can take home with you after class. Safety is a Workspace priority, so the orientation is required to use the woodshop on your own.
Stained Glass Class w/ Rod Simpson
Create a small panel using an array of beautifully colored glass. Learn how to handle glass, choose colors and textures, fit glass to patterns, cut, grind, foil, and solder. Enhanced by daylight, your piece will change based on the weather, season, and time of day.
