Care & Conservation Curator's Tour of "In Their Time"
The responsibility of a museum to the continued care of collections is a constant process of conducting preventative maintenance and conservation. Join University Museums Director, Lynette Pohlman, and Art on Campus Curator, Sydney Marshall, for a tour through "In Their Time" to understand the monumental task of caring for a large public art collection.
Argentine Tango Drop-In Lessons
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. Classes meet every Sunday and drop-ins are welcome. Purchase a dance punch card and attend as often as your schedule allows. Open to ages 18+.

Drop in Craft: Plant Propagation Station
August 26-September 14: A little horticulture therapy is good for the soul and mother earth. Paint a wood block that will hold glass vials for starter plants. Choose a cutting from our community stash to start your journey with flora. If you have plants you'd like to share with others, please drop by with the plant or cuttings.
Drop in Craft: Vinyl Record Painting
September 3-30: Browse through our crate of old vinyl and use paint or special markers to turn a record into a piece of wall art. Write out song lyrics, create a mandala, make it abstract - the possibilities are endless!
Paint Your Own Pottery: Ramen Bowl Week
September 9-14: Paint a bowl for ramen - a college student staple! When you pick up your bowl after firing, we will throw in a pack of Maruchan to get you started.

In Preparation: Maquettes of the Anderson Sculpture Garden
The works of art featured in the Anderson Sculpture Garden have many associated objects also included in the permanent collection that give insight into their development, from initial artist drawings, models, material samples, and more. Join Art on Campus curator Sydney Marshall for a closer look at preparatory material for these objects, and gain a better understanding at the development of these public works of art.

North Central Regional Carillon Conference
Iowa State plays host to the North Central Regional Carillon Conference as part of the 125th anniversary of its campanile and carillon. Free concerts are scheduled during the two-day event. Registration (free) required.

Family Weekend | University Museums Open Houses
Having trouble getting to the museum during the week? Enjoy the University Museums' three campus locations and fall exhibitions during open houses for Cyclone Family Weekend. The Farm House Museum will host a program at 2:00 p.m. each day.
Exhibition Tour - World's Fairs Souvenirs
Join University Museums for a look at souvenirs of the U.S. World's Fairs in 1876, 1893, and 1904. Objects include glassware, ceramics, paper goods, and photography. This program takes place during Cyclone Family Weekend | University Museums Open Houses and treats are provided!
Model Carillon Concert
Performances on the campanile-carillon model, a 27-bell, 1:5 replica of Iowa State's central campus icon. Part of the North Central Regional Carillon Conference.
Concert: Gold Revere w/ Kashi (hip-hop/pop/R&B)
Music duo Gold Revere, Akash Gururaja and Ian Crumley, started making music in Ian's basement in 2017 before making a major splash on the scene with their viral track "Goldfish Crackers." What started as an experimental summer project in their hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa quickly gained traction thanks to the duo's mix of hip hop and R&B influence, classical training in piano, violin, and vocals.
