Workshop: Data Management and Sharing Plans 101
Workshop participants will be provided with the information, tools, and resources necessary to write a successful data management plan. We'll cover what information to include, how publisher and funder sharing requirements relate, and what's meant by data archiving (it's more than storage). We'll introduce helpful tools to help write your proposal and provide guidance on how to responsibly use GenAI chat tools to assist in the writing process.
Workshop: Leveraging Open Access and OER in the Promotion Process
In this workshop, faculty participants will receive guidance on how to reap the benefits of open content for the promotion and tenure process, leveraging examples from actual Iowa State P&T case packets. These tips will be relevant for both tenure track and non-tenure track faculty at Iowa State.
Workshop: Managing Citations with Zotero
Zotero is a powerful and popular citation management tool, and this workshop will provide you with an overview of its capabilities, as well as get you started with using it for your own research projects. We'll look at how Zotero stacks up against other citation management systems, and then have a demonstration, followed by a hands-on practice period where you can begin to collect and organize references from various sources.

Henry Payer is a Ho-Chunk artist who works primarily with collage and mixed media. Born in Sioux City, IA in 1986, Payer received a BFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, NM in 2008.
