Join this Genetics, Development and Cell Biology department seminar to hear Dr. Li Yang, associate professor in the University of Georgia Department of Plant Pathology, discuss research into the molecular mechanisms underlying the balance between innate immunity and regeneration during plant aging.
Workshop: Guide to OER for Instructors
In this hands-on workshop, instructors will get an introduction to open educational resources (OER) -- free instructional materials that you can adapt to fit your course's needs. In addition to learning OER basics, participants will receive tips on how to find, evaluate, and integrate OER into a course. Registration required.

Fall Startup Pitch Competition Finale
Students compete in one of two categories -- new idea or existing business --and are allowed 90 seconds to pitch their concept. The first round of pitches are Oct. 7-10 (3-5 p.m.).
