Seminar: Humanizing biology to promote equity in STEM higher education
Join this Genetics, Development and Cell Biology Seminar to hear Dr. Robin Costello, assistant professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Buffalo, discuss two approaches to disrupt inequities in STEM higher education. One approach looks at underlying factors for gaps in STEM graduation rates while the second considers classroom interventions that promote student outcomes.

Workshop: Streamlyne S2S: Submitting Grants.gov Proposals in Streamlyne
This training will build on basic Streamlyne preparation and budgeting skills. It is recommend that attendees have experience in PD initiation and routing, and/or have attended the Streamlyne Basics and Budgeting sessions. Training will focus on preparing a Proposal Development (PD) document for S2S submission to Grants.gov.

NSF CAREER Preparation Workshop
The NSF CAREER Award is one of the most important and prestigious grants an early-career faculty member can receive. While all NSF grants are evaluated on intellectual merit and broader impacts, CAREER Awards also have a unique requirement to present an investigator education plan. This workshop will focus on strategies for developing a competitive NSF CAREER Award, with a focus on the broader impacts and education plan.
