V.V. Raman, Emeritus Professor of physics and humanities, Rochester Institute of Technology, will present "The Human-centered Universe: Some Speculations in Current Cosmology." The lecture portion of Osborn Club meetings is open to the public.

The Copernican Revolution of the 16th century took humans away from the spatial center of the universe. In the closing decades of the 20th century, some remarkable findings in astronomy and cosmology put humans in the temporal center of the universe. This talk with discuss aspects and implications of this finding.
