The juror will be Rachel Buse, a sculptor living and working in Des Moines, Iowa. She received her Bachelor in Fine Arts from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 2008. Using fiber and found objects, she builds large exaggerated figures and environments. In 2013, her works exhibited at the Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Grandview University in Des Moines, and at the Octagon Center for the Arts in Ames. Buse also teaches at the Des Moines Art Center and manages the arts promotion site ART BEACON Des Moines.
Buse will choose up to 40 pieces to be included in the exhibit as well as pick cash award winners.
