Four-part workshop will cover the basics of photography including equipment, how to use it, depth of field, aperture, light, composition, finding your subject and tips and tricks.

Tuesdays, Sept. 2-23, 6-8:30 p.m. Each class is broken into 3 parts: classroom discussion, hands-on practice taking pictures by the students, and review of the images taken.

Cost: $60 ($48 for members, ISU students pay 15% off member price).

You will need to bring the following to each class: your DSLR camera and sturdy tripod. This class is a prerequisite for many other photo classes, which will be offered again in 2015.

Preregistration with payment is required by Friday, Aug. 29.
