One in a three-workshop series on faculty professional development featuring Kerry Ann Rockquemore, president and CEO of the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity.

Target audience: administrators, deans, associate deans, chairs, directors

Rockquemore will work with organizational leaders to re-imagine how mentoring occurs at Iowa State. She describes the challenges all pre-tenure faculty face on the tenure track and the unique challenges under-represented faculty experience. This provides the context for discussion about the common problems associated with traditional mentoring programs.

The workshop culminates in a description of alternative models for internal and external mentoring programs.
