"Write Winning Grant Proposals," presented by John Roberts, Grant Writers' Seminars and Workshops LLC. Organized by the Office of the Vice President for Research for faculty and staff. Registration is free; space is limited. The purchase of a $70-$75 workbook is required.

This workshop will emphasize idea development and writing strategies that are of proven value in preparing a grant application. Topics covered include developing a research plan, analysis of sample proposals, writing practice, peer review, drafting proposal sections (selecting, organizing, and summarizing key points), revising drafts (using passive/active voice, sentence-level editing), and developing effective graphics. The workshop is intended for researchers from the physical and life sciences, engineering, educational and social sciences as well as the arts and the humanities.
