Mandalas are symbolic in Hinduism and Buddhism, and are created with geometric shapes incorporating ancient spiritual symbols. The Memorial Union will be hosting Tibetan Monks September 22-25, and they will create a large scale sand mandala on the 2nd floor. Zendoodle instructor Sara Merritt will lead this mandala drawing session on Tuesday evening.

Participants are also invited (but not required) to go to the presentation by the Drepung Loseling Monastery Monks on The Symbolism of the Sand Mandala at 8pm in the Pioneer Room.

Meets Tuesday from 6:30-7:30pm.
