This Teaching and Learning Circle will focus on insights into the conceptual, informational and relational components of advising including readings from prominent authors in the field of advising. Join our facilitators in discussing your foundation in advising, advising as teaching, coaching strategies, and relational advising and communication with students.

** PLEASE NOTE: This is a Teaching and Learning Circle to be held on two (2) consecutive Tuesdays, November 4, 11, and Thursday, November 20 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

THINGS TO KNOW:
== Attendees must be able to commit to all three dates to allow for the richest discussion circles to
take place.
== Lunch is provided and limited to the first 15 advisers to register.
== November can be a difficult month for some advisers to find time to get away from their offices. This event will be repeated in the Spring semester (likely in mid-February 2015).
== Articles and chapters will be shared electronically with attendees upon their registration.
== All readings are of a reasonable length to cover over the course of each week between sessions.

Facilitated by Jill Kramer, University Academic Advising Coordinator, CELT

Registration is required, no later than October 30.
