"The Good, the Bad and the Bugly," Donald Lewis, ISU Extension entomologist. Learn about some of Iowa's beneficial insects along with the worst of the worst new invasive species. ISU Retirees may bring guests. The 3 p.m. presentation is preceded by a half-hour social.

Everyone loves insects in one way or the other: some people love them and others love to hate them. Worried about whether you have bed bugs? Wondering about the fate of your favorite ash tree? Or maybe you want to know how to reverse the decline of monarch butterflies and honey bees. Bring whatever insect questions have been bugging you, and they will be answered by long-time extension entomologist Donald Lewis.

With a Ph.D. from Ohio State University, Lewis is responsible for outreach education on insect pest management in horticultural crops, households, and structures. He also is an instructor in the Iowa Master Gardener Program and a regular contributor to the Iowa Public Radio Talk of Iowa horticulture show.

ISU Retirees
All ISU retirees and their spouses are invited to become actively involved in the ISU Retirees Association. There are no membership dues; all that is required is an interest in participating in its activities and programs.
