This workshop is led by Ames fiber artist Kristin Roach. Learn how to knit for the first time or receive instructions on knitting squares for the exhibition.

Intertwine is a community-wide effort to yarn bomb the facade of Design on Main in downtown Ames with 2,200 1-foot yarn squares. Assistant professor of art and visual culture Jennifer Drinkwater is coordinating the project.

A set of written instructions will be available as a handout online and in the Design on Main gallery.

There will be regular knitting/crocheting circles at Design on Main from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on these Thursdays this semester:
Sept. 17
Oct. 1, 15 and 29
Nov. 12
Dec. 3 and 17

Spring semester circle dates TBA. Deadline to submit squares is April 1, 2016.
