The ISU Saxophone Studio joins forces to realize the music of Supersax. This heroically titled group from the 1970s took songs and transcribed solos from the jazz bebop giant Charlie Parker and arranged them for five saxophones and rhythm section. Learn about Bird and his importance to the jazz world at this exciting lecture recital, complete with audio-visual displays and featuring our department chair, saxophonist Michael Golemo.
