Holloway is a new musical based on true events from 2005, and feature songs from writer/composer Joseph Smith, Marion. It is scheduled to make its New York City premiere on Aug. 14.

In 2005, a group of Alabama teens traveled to Aruba on a senior class trip. On the last night out, one of the teens, Natalee Holloway, ran off with a local and disappeared. Her mother (Beth Holloway) traveled to Aruba to lead search efforts for her daughter, who hasn't been seen or heard from since.

This is a story of passion, hope and love, and begins to ask the question -- what does it mean to live?

The cast features actors from Ames and the Des Moines metro area.
