When it comes to black and white, nothing is as rich as charcoal. The velvety darks and ability to create gestural marks are what make this media so unique.

Learn how to use vine and pencil charcoal, blending for shading and kneaded erasers for pulling in highlights. A variety of papers will also be introduced for experimentation. For beginners as well as those with experience who want to focus on this drawing technique.

Instructor: Molly Nagel
