The Black and Brown Male Empowerment Symposium is designed to demonstrate the importance of black and brown male success in the classroom, community, and world. Attendees will leave gaining a sense of empowerment, enrichment, engagement, and encouragement through a series of learning sessions and by networking with professionals and other students.

Cesar Vargas is the National Latino Outreach strategist and is the keynote speaker for the symposium. Vargas is a nationally recognized leader and innovator at the forefront of the fight for immigration reform, and the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act. The College of Human Sciences is one of nine, Gold Level sponsors of the event. Those attending are asked to register. Registration deadline is Monday, Sept. 26.
