Daniel Corcos is a motor systems neuroscientist and a professor at Northwestern University in the Feinberg School of Medicine. His talk is part of the 2016-17 Helen LeBaron Hilton Lecture Series.

Dr. Corcos will address how both resistance exercise and endurance exercise are important for improving brain health, and how exercise affects brain volume as well as other measures of brain structure and function in health and disease. He is currently studying how progressive resistance exercise improves the motor and non-motor systems of people with Parkinson’s disease, and how endurance exercise changes disease severity in Parkinson’s disease.
